Budapest Expat Actor Preparing To Perform & Run, For Charity
Mike Kelly is one half of the Madhouse Theatre Company, which has been entertaining audiences here in Hungary for the past ten years. On 21 April 2010 the Merlin Theatre Budapest will stage a unique charity event by presenting the popular play 'One Set To Love' to help with Cancer research. Just a few days after that Mr. Kelly will run a marathon for the same good cause.

Mike told XpatLoop.com, "I'm currently training for my third London Marathon on April 25, and again I'm doing it to raise money for a cancer charity. The Merlin Theatre have been incredibly gracious and are allowing us to make one of our performances an event for charity. This means that all box office takings on the night will go to the Association for International Cancer Research (AICR), the charity which gave me my place in the run."

Mike has a target of GBP 2000 to reach. Performance ticket prices will be the standard HUF 2000, and there will also be the possibility to contribute more on the night for those who are feeling generous. He has also just set up an official website where donations can be made directly: www.justgiving.com/mikeykelly

Mike concluded, "Like millions of others I have lost people very dear to me to cancer, so this charity is very close to my heart. This one act show, which received rave reviews at the Edinburgh festival, begins at 7pm. This is a great opportunity to enjoy a wonderful evening at the theatre while contributing to a great cause at the same time."
