Talks with state investment promotion agency ITDH, which recommenced last week, have mainly focused on drawing in investors as well as the structure of the car fleet.
The 2,000-strong fleet of modular electric cars could hit the streets of Budapest next year, and Brixxon has signed deals to provide hundreds of electric cars with two hotel chains.
The company developed the prototype of its easy-to-assemble “Bontino Caffo” electric cars three years ago, using module elements, a digital drive-system, and highly efficient lithium batteries.
It has also laid down plans for a network of solar-powered recharging stations, which it sees as key to the success of the venture.
The company has a European development and manufacturing centre in Austria but relies on Hungarian subcontractors to supply the main parts and technology.
Brixxon expects its ground-breaking electric cars to be used mainly by tourists and inner city drivers."
