Hungarian Party LMP To Open Account For Homeless
"The Politics Can Be Different (LMP) party is prepared to open an account for the homeless, local election candidate Jeno Kaltenbach told reporters.

He said all Budapest MPs could pay into the account to help solve the problems of homeless people. Kaltenbach expressed hope that politicians from other parties will join the initiative.

LMP’s views on reducing traffic in downtown Budapest, developing public transport and preserving green areas mostly coincide with those of Fidesz, but the two parties differ on how to treat homeless people, mayoral candidate Benedek Javor said in an interview with Magyar Hirlap. He remarked that Fidesz sees the problem as a security and police matter, while LMP would treat it in a complex way by transforming housing policy.

In other remarks, Javor expressed the wish that the Socialist Party would collapse after the October 3 elections. "
