Iranian Deputy FM Urges Cooperation With Hungary
On a three day visit to to Budapest, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Ahani on Wednesday said the time has come to revive Iranian-Hungarian economic, cultural, scientific and political relations, claiming that Hungary has “neglected” its ties outside the European Union.

Meeting with Hungarian Foreign Minister Janos Martonyi, Ali Ahani said the two countries look back to a long tradition of friendship.

“Hungary totally confirms Iran’s complete right to peaceful nuclear know-how, and at the same time more transparency through negotiations and dialogue,” Martonyi stated, according to Iranian Press TV, insisting that Hungary welcomes Iran’s intention to increase bilateral ties.

Ali Ahani delivered a speech at the Hungarian Institute of International affairs, highlighting that he considers a war between Iran and Israel to be unlikely. “The consequences of Israeli military action are unpredictable,” he told Hungarian InfoRadio. “It’s impossible to tell how many participants will be drawn into such a conflict.”
