"Featuring some of Hungary’s best jazz musicians, Trio Ricardo plays latin jazz in a piano–bass–drums line-up. With influences ranging from Michel Camilo to Chucho Valdés, the band’s repertoire is built around the joyful and melodic original compositions of pianist Richárd “Ricardo” Révész.
The two other regular members of the trio are Peter Szendőfi on drums and Gergő Kolta on bass. Their international debut album, Menu 890 features seasoned US bassist Kip Reed (Ivan Lins, Tania Maria) and the trio has played a string of successful shows in London already at renowned jazz clubs like the Pizza Express and Charlie Wright's.
Their album launch concert will take place in Budapest at the U26 clubshop (Budapest, Teréz krt. 55-57.) on 29 November 2010 at 9 PM (Tickets are HUF 1000), offering an exciting musical event to jazz and latin music lovers alike.
