"This Christmas season appears to be a successful one for retailers, based on turnover recorded last Sunday, the second Sunday before Christmas, Népszabadság reports. Turnover at Media Markt on Sunday was up 10% from one year earlier. Demand for LCD TV sets, intelligent telephones, laptop computers, washing machines and coffee machines was above average, said sales manager Balázs Szánthó.
