Ombudsman Slams Hungarian School Gyms
"Conditions of physical education and student sport in schools are not adequate and this impedes the right to high level physical and mental health, ombudsman Máté Szabó said on Wednesday. His Office said in a statement that most gymnasia in schools are out of date, neglected and potentially hazardous, while lockers and basic hygienic conditions are absent.

In most places only the minimum number of physical education classes as defined by law are held. The Office says it is necessary to reform the training of physical education teachers

The ombudsman asked the national resources minister to help address the problems."
