HUF 1bn Health Insurance Scam Revealed In Hungary

They are suspected of using bogus prescription forms and costing the National Health Insurance Fund over Ft 1 billion over two years.
The investigation discovered that the doctors used the personal data of patients to make out fictitious medical prescriptions for therapeutic aids
Subsequently companies specialising in such products illegally reclaimed more than Ft 1 billion in VAT between January, 2008 and May, 2010, NNI special investigator Natália Deme told MTV news Thursday evening. More than 32 suspects have been questioned so far."
