4 May 2012 – György Vukán Kossuth Prize winner pianist opens the celebration with a jazz improvisation session at the Buda City Hall.
5 May 2012 – Concertos played by the Orfeo Orchestra conducted by György Vashegyi at the Buda City Hall with the contribution of the young pianist Petra Somlai and the noted violinist Simon Standage.
6 May 2012 – Programmes take place both sides of the capital! In Buda, an intimate parlour with pianist Andrea Bagi leading a chamber music orchestra awaits the audiance. Free entry.
While on the Pest side, the great-great grandchild of Duke Lichnowsky, the patron of Beethoven, will play with Eszter Horgas, Ildikó Szakács and Alex Szilasi. After the concert the audiance is welcome to visit Beethoven’s legendary Broadwood piano.
7 May 2012 – The Gala concert takes place at the Buda Castle Tehatre, the same place where Beethoven gave a concert 212 years ago. This evening the young talented József Balog pianist presents his tribute to Beethoven and Duke Lichnowsky.
8 May 2012 – Pianist Alex Szilasi closes the festival with an intimate parlour at the Institute for Musicology, Hungarian Academy of Sciences. FREE ENTRY!
