This year Hegyalja Festival will become not only the real festival experience located in world heritage environment, but also a cultural meeting point reaching beyond borders. Last year Kosice and Pécs were invited to the 4 day festival, where people could enjoy not only the concerts, the beach, the party until dawn, but could also exchange experiences with each other.

In 2013 besides Kecskemét, cities of Slovakia, Romania, Serbia and Ukraine will also be guests of Hegy’, meaning that they can enter the festival for free. The Hegyalja fans living at different locations of Hungary and also across the borders can get to know each other’s culture, have fun together, and can return next year to Tokaj as old friends.

The Hegy’ fans can choose which cities will receive the guest status, since 3 cities are competing from each country. From SLOVAKIA Prešov, Komárno and Dunajská Streda, from ROMANIA Satu Mare, Oradea and Odorheiu Secuiesc, from UKRAINE Berehove, Uzhgorod and Mukachevo, from SERBIA Subotica, Ada and Senta are the ones people can vote for. For voting one should become the fan of the official Hegy’ facebook page.

Fans can vote for the cities on the facebook page until 4th February, when it comes out which cities received the most votes and become the guests of Hegyalja Festival.
The dwellers of the invited cities can get to know each other during having party at the concerts of such bands like Down, lead by ex-Pantera front man, or the British Asking Alexandria, the legendary Scooter, Anti-Flag, Coal Chamber or the great returner Skindred. For the real people coming either from Hungary or abroad Tokaj and Hegyalja is a must-see place.
