Three New Hungarikums Named

The Hungaricum Committee classified three additional products as hungarikums – distinctive products unique to Hungary – at its meeting in the village of Herend, Veszprém county yesterday. The new hungarikums are handmade porcelain from Herend, pálinka and the grapeskin brandy törkölypálinka.
Herend porcelain is not only handmade, but represents a culture of manufacturing which has become a national treasure, deputy prime minister Tibor Navracsics told a press conference.
