Wizz Air Launches New Budapest – Malta Route From May

The new schedule will operate on Mondays and Fridays aboard a Wizz Air Airbus 320 aircraft. Flights will leave Budapest at 06.45 arriving into Malta International Airport at 11.50. Return flights will depart Malta at 09.30 arriving into Budapest at 11.50. (Local times) Seats are on sale at www.wizzair.com with immediate effect with fares starting from 27 Euros one way including taxes and maximum booking fee.
Wizz Air is now the largest airline operating in and out of Budapest Airport and is marking its ninth year at Budapest Airport since it began flights in 2004. As the largest low-fare, low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, it operates a fleet of 39 Airbus A320 aircraft from 16 bases with over 250 routes connecting 84 destinations across 30 countries.
Commenting on the enhanced service offering from both carriers, Budapest Airport Aviation Director, Kam Jandu adds: “We are delighted to enhance our route network with both the substantially increased Alitalia frequency to Rome and the new Wizz Air route to Malta. We are anticipating that the residents from both locations will want to take advantage of Budapest’s great city break reputation owing to its fantastic culture, shopping, restaurants and nightlife.It is predicted that the Malta route will appeal mostly to leisure passengersseeking sun and relaxation whilst the Rome destination will serve both business and leisure traffic alike.”
