RTL Suggests Shut-Down Of State TV In Hungary
In an afternoon news comment on the termination of state-run TV in Greece, RTL Klub made a similar suggestion for the Hungarian government, proposing that state television be shut down to save public money.

The government spends Ft 78 billion on state TV annually, while RTL and TV2 spend less than that combined, and have five times more viewers, RTL pointed out.

When asked about the proposal, a government spokesman promised an answer later.

The Greek government pulled the plug on state TV network ERT late Tuesday night with only a few hours of warning, prompting massive street protests.
