The exhibition explores themes, such as the bath culture, with artifacts from the Rudas Bath, or the viticulture, which ended in the 19th century when insects wiped out most of the city’s grapevines, paving the way for Buda to become home to the elegant villas which are still here today.
There is so much more to this exhibition though. It is well worth a trip to the wonderful setting of the “Castle district”, going back in time at your leisure.
The exhibition, which is accompanied by English translations, also features interactive touch-screen displays that visitors can use to view historical photographs of the city and its inhabitants, so you can re-live the past in the present.
