The Advent in Budapest program series, organized between November 29th - December 24th, 2013, in Városháza park, creates a public scene in the heart of Budapest, where the citizens of Budapest and the visitors may spend this festive period in a familiar mood.

On the occasion of the Advent in Budapest, one of the largest Christmas trees in the country (with its 16 meters) will be erected in Városháza park. The tree is a gift of a family from Érd to Mayor István Tarlós.

Also a 10-meter diameter Advent wreath will be placed, the candles of which will be ceremoniously lightened on all four Advent weekends.
