Hungary’s Parliament’s External Renovation Completed
The external renovation of Hungary’s parliament on the banks of the Danube in Budapest has been completed after several decades of work. Parliament’s press office noted in a statement that building started in October 1885 on the basis of the design by Imre Steindl.

The building, one of Europe’s oldest parliaments, was inaugurated on the 1000th anniversary of Hungary’s statehood in 1896 and completed in 1904.
