Officer Injured In Downtown Budapest Shoot-Out
An agent of the Counter-Terrorist centre (TEK) was wounded as his unit exchanged gunfire with a suspect on downtown Ferenciek tere Monday evening.

Some reports say that the suspect – who was apprehended – was also wounded and taken to hospital under police escort.

The incident occurred as TEK cars drove in front of and stopped a taxi carrying a wanted man.

He fired a pistol at TEK officers, who fired back as they moved to apprehend him. They dragged him out of the car and took him into custody.

However one officer was wounded by a fellow officer and was taken to hospital with abdominal injuries.
