McDonald’s In Hungary Gets Fined
The Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH) has fined McDonald’s HUF 15 million because of a misleading chicken product advertisement between the period of 1 January 2013 and 12 February 2013.

According to GVH, an average consumer could not tell that certain chicken products advertised as grilled contained not only chicken, but some chicken skin as well. In addition, these products went through several technological transformations (grinding, curing, molding) that greatly affected the meat stock.

“Based on the visual advertisements, consumers could have thought that these products have only undergone grilling and breading”, a GVH spokesman said.
