Construction Sector In Hungary Up 11.4% In Dec

Output of Hungary’s construction sector rose an annual 11.4% in December, slowing from an 18.9% increase in the previous month, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said. Output rose for the eleventh month in a row. Adjusted for the number of workdays, output also rose 11.4% in December.
For the whole year 2013, output of the construction sector rose 9.6% from the same period a year earlier.
Output of the sector fell every year in 2006-2012. Gergely Suppan, senior analyst at Magyar Takarékszövetkezeti Bank, said the sector’s order stock suggests that output will continue to increase substantially in 2014.
