Éva Dignisz Gál First Woman To Be Named Wine Maker Of Year

The Hungarian Academy of Wine presented the Winemaker of the Year award to Éva Dignisz Gál at a gala luncheon on Sunday. Dignisz Gál, the first woman to have won the title grows grapes with her husband, Csaba Gál, on 70 hectares on Csepel Island, south of Budapest, and ten hectares north of Lake Balaton.
She was picked from five nominees who included János Bolyki of Eger, Tamás Borbély of Badacsony, and Tamás Duzsi and Zoltán Heimann both of Szekszárd.
