Hungary's PM Orbán Launches Brain Research Project
The government will launch a National Brain Research Programme with a Ft 12 billion grant, under a co-operation agreement signed yesterday by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, Academy of Sciences president József Pálinkás and Tamás Freund, who will lead the project.

The purpose of the project is to make research, preventive care, innovation and medical supply more efficient.

Brain research could be the flagship of Hungary’s aspiration to become a European research and innovation centre as well as a manufacturing centre, Orbán said at the Academy of Sciences.
