GPs, pediatricians, district nurses and dentists in general practice will get higher wages from April after 10 billion forints (EUR 32m) extra funding is transferred from the budget for these services, the human resources minister said. Zoltán Balog told the press that wages in the affected professions will increase by several tens of thousands of forints per month.
Some 500 million forints will be available for filling 150 posts that have been vacant for a long time.
Over the past four years, financing for basic health services increased several times and 30 billion forints more is available in 2014 than what was spent in 2009, State Secretary for Health Miklós Szócska said.
