IDC Predicts 2.6% Increase In Hungary’s IT Market
The Hungarian information technology market is likely to increase by 2.6% this year and generate total revenue of 701 billion forints (EUR 2.25bn), business daily Világgazdaság said on Friday, citing a forecast by the local unit of market researcher and advisory firm IDC.

Managing director Zoltán Komáromi told the paper that Hungary’s IT market produced the region’s biggest expansion of 4.2% last year, mainly on the back of exceptionally high sales in tablets and significant government orders.

Komáromi said he did not expect the same rate of increase this year as most markets in the region are likely to grow faster than Hungary’s.

Figures from last year showed that 54.3% of IT spending was represented by hardware, 25.2% by IT services and 20.5% by software.
