Hungarian Press Photo Exhibition - Special Events In English
On until 18 May 2014. In order to further your experience of the 32nd Hungarian Press Photo Exhibition, the Capa Center In Budapest offers a wide range of programs and activities for all ages. While many of these events such as artist talks and roundtable-discussions are in Hungarian, there are some special programs for non-Hungarian speaking visitors as well - read on for examples.

May 11, Sunday - 11am – 7pm Walk through the history of photography – joint photographic program of the Mai Manó House and the Capa Center for all ages.

Interactive activities (Profile pictures at the turn of the century, i.e. who is Manó Mai?; CAPTURE – be captured by the world of images and get engaged in English with a Native English Speaker), archaic and digital workshops in Hungarian and in English for all ages.

Mai Manó House

11am – 2pm Photography workshop with Magdolna Vékás Balogh Rudolf award-winning photographer: learn how to to make argentotypes (sepia iron tracing paper) and cyanotypes (blueprint).

3pm CAPTURE - Led by a Native English speaker, playful exercises invite the participation of children and young adults whose native tongue is not Hungarian or who are young learners of English.

Capa Center

3pm – 6pm Digital photography workshop with Bence Gyulai: get to know and learn to use the digital camera creatively.
