The mobile operator and the cloud industry association have partnered to communicate the benefits of cloud-based IT and related services, one of the most dynamic growth segments of the ICT market, to Hungarian businesses. To achieve this goalgoal, they will soon organise trade conferences and training courses on the subject. In addition, Telenor and EuroCloud Hungary also decided to create a common platform for Hungarian cloud industry players and represent them both in the region and at a European level.
The partnership agreement was signed by Zoltán Bellák, President of EuroCloud Hungary, Zoltán Takács, Chief Digital Services Officer of Telenor, and Mike Michel, Chief Marketing Officer of Telenor, on 14 March 2014.
“Telenor’s business services including the Telenor Cloud Service offer companies an advanced tool to be more successful and competitive. Under our partnership with EuroCloud, we want to introduce the benefits of cloud-based services to SMEs and make cloud services one of the most widely used IT solutions within a short time”, said Zoltán Takács, Chief Digital Services Officer of Telenor.
“EuroCloud Hungary aims to create a strong and trust-based domestic cloud ecosystem and support the establishment of an efficient regulatory and business framework. I’m pleased that Telenor joined us as a key partner to work together to achieve these common goals and agreed to sponsor our Hungarian Cloud Award 2014 event of 29 April and the Cloud First! 2014 conference of 23 September”, said Zoltán Bellák, President of the EuroCloud Hungary Association and founding member of EuroCloud Europe present in 30 countries of the continent.
As the first event in their collaboration, the partners will organise an industry workshop at the Telenor House in April. The Telenor Cloud Meetup will feature renowned speakers from across the ICT sector and international IT exhibitors.
