Hungarians Want To Retire At 57
Hungarian workers want to retire at the age of 57 but believe they will do so at 66, an international survey covering 200,000 employees from 23 countries by labour market service provider Randstad reveals.

Randstad said more than half of Hungarians wanted to retire before the age of 60, and an additional one-third would continue working until the age of 62 at the most.

Only one-tenth of employees would like to work until the age of 65, the current retirement age. Nevertheless, Hungarians have a realistic idea of their possibilities of retirement.

Answering the question as to how long they will have to keep working, interviewees selected the age of 66 on average, managing director of Randstad Hungary Sándor Baja said. Almost half of Hungarians said they expected to be able to stop working at the age of 63-65, but 34% said they would not be able to retire before the age of 65.
