Part of a collection of manuscripts, music and photographs relating to Hungarian composer and pianist Ernst von Dohnanyi (1877-1960) has been brought to Hungary from Florida.
The vast collection maintained by the Florida State University also contains letters, books, recordings and several of Dohnanyi’s personal items from his Florida home.
It was donated to the musicology institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences by Sean Ernst McGlynn, Dohnanyi’s step grandson.
