Over 10,000 Expected At Budapest Pride Parade

More than 10,000 people are expected to turn out for the annual Budapest Pride Parade on Saturday, almost that many took part last year. Participants will gather on Kossuth tér at 3 p.m., from where the parade will leave for City Park, at 4 p.m. along a fenced-off route.
Organisers have arranged a picnic in the City Park from 6 p.m.
Népszabadság writes that a homophobic counter-demonstration will also be held by a group calling itself “On Behalf of the Family”.
A total of 20 embassies have issued a public letter of support for the 19th Budapest Pride festival and parade.
