A concert was held at Budapest’s Holocaust Memorial Centre on Thursday night to mark the 70th anniversary of the Roma Holocaust. The concert featured renowned jazz pianist Béla Szakcsi Lakatos and the chamber orchestra of violinist Lajos Kathy-Horváth.

After the concert, people in the audience lit candles of remembrance at the Memorial Wall of Holocaust victims in the centre’s garden.

The commemoration was attended by representatives of the government, politicians, diplomats, and Jewish leaders.
