Budapest Hosts ‘Photo Street’ This Weekend
Two major Budapest photography exhibition spaces will open their doors to the public free of charge at the weekend. The Capa Centre and Mai Manó House are participating in the event dubbed 'Photo Street' in Budapest.

Mai Manó House, celebrating its 120th anniversary this year, will reveal the history of its art nouveau building starting on Friday, and visitors can also peep into the evolution of photo making.

There will also be a retrospective of the works of Mai (1855-1917), whose one-time studio now serves as the gallery.

DJ-VJ Žagar, a pop musician, will use the centre’s photos in his performance to give the public “a different interpretation of photo reading”, Capa Centre deputy director István Virágvölgyi told MTI.
