Xpat Review: African Sensation Bar & Restaurant In Budapest
- 24 Oct 2014 2:35 AM
Take the 4/6 tram and stop at Wesselenyi. Walk for about 2 min and you will see the restaurant logo. Upon entering the restaurant there is a reception with showcasing African snacks. You have to find a seat yourself, which is good because you can choose the best available.
The atmosphere is very cozy, neat, quiet, and it was decorated with different African paintings. The food is pretty affordable ranging from 250HUF to 3000HUF depending on what you actually want. I ordered fried yam with vegetable stew and plantain. The plantain was good, so was the vegetable stew, but I could have uses a bit of salt on my yam. It was okay, though, because they had a salt cellar on the table.
There is other food you can order, such as Suya which is barbecued meat, pepper soup which is spicy soup with goat’s meat or fish, different types of rice like Fried, jollof, coconut rice, and porridge, to name a few.
The service was good. There’s also a bar but I was only at the restaurant part. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Address: Wesselenyi Utca 49, 1077, it opens on Mondays- Thursdays: 12:00p.m. – 1:00a.m. and on Fridays to Sundays from 2:00p.m. - 2.00a.m.
