Large Haul Of Cocaine Seized Again At Budapest Airport
Police at the Budapest international Liszt Ferenc airport have seized a large haul of cocaine worth some 625,000 euros from an Italian man, the national police said on its website. The man was detained in an operation on Tuesday shortly after midday on Wednesday, the police said.

The suspect, identified as Bernard D.D, attempted to exit via the green corridor in the customs area before tax and police officers stopped him. The search of the man’s luggage revealed the 12,650 grams of drug secreted in 154 sachets of hair dye.

The drug had been taken from Brazil via Dubai to Budapest. In a similar instance on Jan. 10, a Portuguese man and a woman attempted to smuggle cocaine worth well over 300,000 euros in a similar fashion via the same route to Hungary, the police said.
