Survey Shows More Young Adults Live With Parents

The number of young Hungarian adults living with their parents is on the increase, daily Magyar Nemzet said, citing a recent survey by Tárki. The proportion of Hungarians aged between 18 and 34 still living with their parents increased from 56% in 2008 to 66% by 2012.
In international comparison, Hungarians always had a tendency of moving away from their parents later rather than sooner and in recent years.
The Tárki survey shows that in western and northern Europe, some 60-80% of people move away from their parents once they reach 18.
