Budapest To Host European Conference Tourism Association Meeting

Budapest will host a meeting of the European association of national conference tourism offices in September, the newsletter of state tourism agency Magyar Turizmus (MT) said. MT represents Hungary in the association that was established last October.
The number of countries represented in the association rose to 22 after France, Ireland, Latvia, Italy and Portugal joined.
MT noted that in 2013 Budapest gained three places and ranked 17th on the latest global list of conference tourism sites compiled by the International Congress & Convention Association (ICCA).
Among countries, Hungary preserved its 32th position with 132 conferences – an all-time high.
