Chagall Exhibition To Open In Pécs, Hungary

An exhibition featuring 148 of Marc Chagall’s lithographs and sketches will open in southern Hungary’s Pécs on April 26 and run until Oct. 31, an organiser said.
The show in the Martyn Ferenc Museum will present 40 lithographs on biblical themes, 43 ones for Homer’s Odyssey and sketches prepared for the renovation of the Paris Opera’s ceiling, local art historian József Sárkány said.
Lithographs made for the twelve colour stain glass windows for the Abbell Synagogue at the Hadassah University Medical Centre in Jerusalem will also be on display.
