Hungarian Gov’t Launches Youth Jobs Scheme
The government has launched a scheme to help the job prospects of those under the age of 25 in the six poorest regions of Hungary, Economy Ministry state secretary Sándor Czomba announced yesterday.

The EU will provide Ft 15 billion to the youth guarantee scheme until the end of 2017 in the four most deprived regions.

The government will add Ft 200 billion to fund the programme in all regions until 2020.

Participation in the programme was offered to 3,000 registered unemployed initially. The ministry calculates that 174,000 unemployed people are eligible for the programme.
