Rio Olympics 2016: Hungary Forecast To Win 17 Medals
Infostrada Sports, the leading full service sports and media company, has issued a projection which forecasts Hungary to win 17 medals at next year’s Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. According to their estimate, the medal table will be lead convincingly by the United States and Hungary will be tenth on the list.

The virtual medal table includes 87 countries, with Brazil, the country to host next year’s Olympics, expected to gain a total of 27 medals in the Latin American nation’s best-ever Olympic showing.

Hungary is forecast to win ten golds, two silvers and five bronzes in the course of the event, with the country expected to to best in hammer-throwing, pommel horse, swimming, canoeing, kayaking and water polo. Infostrada Sports expects the United States to top the medal table with a total of 97 medals – 47 golds, 21 silvers and 29 bronzes -, while China is projected to finish in second place with 76 medals and Russia in third position with 74.

The first Latin American Olympics will begin exactly 500 days from now, on 4 August 2016. The statement issued by Infostrada Sports emphasises that the projection reflects the current state of affairs.

At the London Olympics in 2012, Hungary won 8 golds, 4 silvers and 6 bronzes.
