Budapest District Resists Museum Quarter
A majority of the local council of Zugló, Budapest’s 14th District, yesterday objected to the government’s plans to build several large new museum buildings in the City Park. They said they agree with the idea of renewing the City Park, which lies within the district, but reject the construction of new buildings arguing that they would be harmful to the character of the park.

District mayor Gergely Karácsony, of the Dialogue for Hungary party, told Inforádió that the necessary social dialogue never took place regarding the Liget Budapest project.
