Famous Hungarian Racehorse Owner In Custody
Zoltán Mikóczy, owner of the Hungarian racehorse Overdose, which enjoyed success on the European racing circuit four years ago, has been arrested on suspicion of involvement in a large-scale tax evasion scheme in the sugar trade.

Two men from Kiskõrös and Akasztó are suspected of running a gang that obtained sugar from Slovakia, Poland and the Czech Republic through fictitious companies, thereby evading Ft 1.2 billion in VAT payments.

Mikóczy is in police custody along with one other Slovak citizen and nine Hungarians. He was arrested in a hotel on April 14.
