Planet Sushi Budapest, Japan As It Really Is
Right after opening, Planet Sushi became a place accepted by those in the know as a really representative home of Japanese-Asian cuisine in Hungary. Japanese head chef, Kashaima Shigeru san opened the first Planet Sushi in Moscow. Over the years the chain has expanded in the region of Central & Eastern Europe. The first Planet Sushi opened here in 2007 at Oktogon square in Budapest. This local restaurant has grown year on year and in 2013 it stated a new service of home delivery.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is of old Japanese traditions. You can sit in the main restaurant, plus there is the chance to sit in separated rooms for 4 and 6 persons (tatamies). If you prefer the separated option then its god to make a reservation because these rooms are the most popular places in the restaurant.

Planet Sushi's first belief is to create a unique experience for guest, and they know food quality is the most important way to reach this goal. They make everything to order, fresh from the finest ingredients available on the market. Fish is not frozen, it comes on ice straight from the sea 3-4 times weekly.

It is handy to be able to check the menu online. It contains many traditional and modern (Western styled varieties) of food from Japan and Asia. Soups are in two categories: a selection of traditional Miso's, and different Asian soup specialties. A real favorite is Laksa soup, which has a spicy flavor and unique taste.

For an appetizer you can find new tempuras, dim sums, and many nigiri and sahimi. For mains you can order different noodle and rice dishes, plus several types of seafood.

If you enjoy quality steaks then her's more good news, as you can find now two new steak dishes on the menu. Special flavored Teppan Steak is cooked in sake, and glazed with tonkatsu sauce, the Gyuniku Wasabi Flank is served with special wasabi steak butter.

Many people still think sushi mostly means Maki. Of course Maki is just a part of the sushi group, and at Planet Sushi the Maki selection is wide. Also you can find traditional sushi rolls (Hosomaki), but if you like something special you should definitely try the Uramaki selection.

Good news for people who like having sushi at home, Planet Sushi now can accept online orders through their renewed website. As a bonus when you order online they will present you 4 extra Ebi Crunch Uramaki.

We loved our time in this truly outstanding Japanese restaurant, and so can definitely recommend it! Here's the address:
