Swamp Fever Hits Hungarian Horses
State food safety office Nébih has imposed restrictions on the movement of horses in nine villages in eight counties to contain an outbreak of infectious anaemia, known as swamp fever, among the animals. HVG reported on Wednesday that several horses had to be killed in recent days because of the disease.

Horses at risk are in quarantine until it is decided whether they are healthy.

Veterinarian András Bába said the disease cannot be cured.
