'Summer Open Promenade', Whale Budapest, 7 June
Press release: The Whale is welcoming the fans of antiquities, design and products of fine arts and handicrafts with free programs on Sunday, June 7. At the Summer Open Promenade value appraisers, antiquity sellers, designers, art historians and unique programs await visitors. The morning will be dedicated to painting and creativity and after the afternoon concert visitors can have an insight into the mystical world of painting forgers.

The Promenade is a Sunday program that has an influence on all six senses. Everyone who is a connoisseur or loves art should have a look, but it will also be a leisure time for families as a full-day family and kids’ program will be provided.

Those who will happen to walk along the Danube won’t miss out on anything either if they spend a day in a special place, in the beautiful, modern building of the Whale.

The Promenade opened on the first Sunday of March in the Whale, where visitors can browse among antiquities, design and contemporary fine arts and handicrafts products. During the past few months the fair also became a meeting point as besids looking around and shopping it offers family programs as well.

The programs of the Summer Open Promenade:

10:00
„Be a painter!” Creative activity for both children and adults. With the help of animators an opportunity will be provided for those who wish to create their own painting.

15:00-16:00
The performance of the Canarro music band on the stage of the Whale.
Their music covers the styles of music that give free vent to improvisation. A real world music travel throughout a lot of styles of music, with the heritage of Hungarian folk music completed with the freedom of jazz. At their concerts they play Latin bossa-nova, French manouche swing or even argentine tango.

16:15-17:15
„Curiosities, tricks and gossips from the world of art.” series of presentations.
The presentation of Zsófia Végvári: „Art?” Tricks of forgers from the ancient times up to today.

17:30-18:30
„Classicists with ease” series of presentations in history of art.
Presentation of Péter Gimesy, art historian: „The Art of Impressionists”.

The musical host of the Summer Open Promenade is the band, Canarro, that all day is going to entertain visitors of the fair.
