The British newspaper The Guardian has published its selection of the Hungarian capital’s top craft beer bars on the occassion of Főzdefeszt, a three-day beer and street food capital that took place in Budapest between 5 and 7 June, in its Travel section.

The article reports that “the city is undergoing a craft beer revolution; not just bars devoted to ales but microbreweries opening across the country and a young generation of “Gypsy brewers” and highlights that prices remain very reasonable compared to the West.

The list includes well-known and popular venues in central Budapest – such as Léhűtő or Élesztő Craft Beer Garden – but also others further afield, such as the Legenda Sörfőzde in District XVI or the Rizmajer Beerhouse in District XXI.
