Hungary’s health authority (ÁNTSZ) has extended the heat alert until midnight on Friday. In the next few days the daily maximum temperatures will surge to around 38 C while the average temperatures will exceed 29 C. A front on Thursday may bring about rain and showers. Cooling is expected on Friday.
