Over 4,700 Illegal Entrants Detained By Hungarian Police

Hungary’s police detained 4,725 illegal immigrants between Friday and Sunday, a much larger number than at any weekend before, the police reported. According to the police website, nine people are suspected of human smuggling. Most illegal entrants, including 226 children, were apprehended along Hungary’s southern borders, the report said. The migrants have come from countries including Afghanistan, Pakistan and Syria.
