Police removed 17 activists of a civil movement representing troubled forex mortgage holders who blocked a section of a street in central Budapest in a banned sit-down demonstration on Thursday morning, the police said on its website. The movement originally asked permission from the police to stage a demonstration with about 100-400 participants to demand the suspension of foreclosures and compensation for unfair forex debt repayment conditions.
