Hungary has shown that it is indeed possible to stop the modern-day mass migration, but now a new danger looms; namely, the quota system against which Hungary must protect itself, the foreign minister told parliament. Péter Szijjártó said that the influx of migrants on its southern flank has abated but a new migration wave could hit the country from the west, and Hungary must protect itself from the mandatory quota system.
