I think it is attractive enough to mention Abba, Grease, Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar or even Evita and other musicals. We are in the process of putting the program together. One thing is for sure, the most popular musical hits best suited to the New Year’s Eve atmosphere will be included in the program.

There will plenty of programs organized for New Year’s Eve. What do you think why your program and not some other will be chosen by the guests?

- We have several special lures; I dare to say there is no better offer in Budapest than ours. The Marriott is the only five star hotel directly on the river Danube; the more than 140 m2 glass wall of the building offers a fascinating background with the Castle District, the river and the fireworks at midnight. The guests need not even to stand up from the tables to enjoy all that. We offer an excellent gala dinner with a vegetarian choice and a special menu for the kids. Our star performers from the Operetta Theater are Anna Peller and Dávid Szabó. Their names guarantee the high level of artistic performance.

I think the unlimited number of drinks at the open bar is also appealing …

- We do not count the drinks our guests drink. There will be enough whisky, cordials, cognac, vodka, gin, and other liqueurs, cocktails all included in the ticket price. What we hear from our international guests is that in other countries in the five star hotels only the dinner and a glass of wine is included in the price of a New Year’s Eve event, so they are happy to come to our program. An additional bonus: the champagne for clinking glasses at midnight is also on us!

What is going to be the language spoken by the majority of the guests in the ballroom?

- Last year, in addition to the Hungarian guests we had quite a lot of visitors from the US and the UK, followed by – in number - the Russian- and German- speaking participants. This year tickets were booked from Miami Beach, other English speaking guest have also booked tables, and the number of bookings from Germany is increasing too. Last year we celebrated the New Year with guests from 16 countries, including Hungary.

Do you still have empty seats?

- Although the ballroom capacity is quite large the number of empty seats is running out. Those who do not postpone the booking of their seats have a better chance to receive the best positioned tables.
