Over 500 Granted Refugee Status In Hungary

Out of 177,000 asylum seekers 533 were granted refugee status this year, Immigration and Citizenship Office director Zsuzsanna Végh told Klubrádió on Thursday. The vast majority of asylum seekers did not wait for the end of the procedures, but left the country, therefore no decision was made in their cases. An average of ten asylum applications per day have been submitted since September.
