Christian Mattheisen Remains CEO Of Magyar Telekom
Magyar Telekom, the Hungarian subsidiary of German telco giant Deutsche Telekom, will keep Christian Mattheisen on board as CEO of the company until May 31, 2019, according to a press release issued late yesterday.

The board of directors made the decision at a general meeting yesterday, the press release noted.

Mattheisen was appointed CEO of the company on December 5, 2006, succeeding Elek Straub, and on December 21 he was elected member and chairman of the board of directors.

Under Mattheisen’s lead, the company received numerous awards, including the Business Ethics Award in 1997, Best Employer in Hungary in 2009, Best Employer in Central and Eastern Europe in 2010, and an international Innovation Award in 2010.
